Japanese Words & Expressions+ Lie +Learning languages is fun, and I've mastered seven different languages besides my native Japanese. I can speak Japanese, English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Greek, and Czech. It's pretty impressive, isn't it?-If only it were true. I'm sorry, I lied. I speak Japanese and English, and that's all. I really want to learn Greek because I like Greek pop (music), but Greek is all Greek to me. Here's a Japanese word for lie. uso うそ (ウソ) 嘘 Meaning: a lie Pronunciation: First, say "oo" as in food, and then "so" as in soy. Combine the two, and say the word quickly. Both of the vowel sounds should be very short. Tips: Here are some usage examples: uso wo tsuku うそをつく (ウソをつく) 嘘をつく (to tell a lie) Uso wo tsukuna. (This one gives a blunt & bossy impression.) うそをつくな。 (ウソをつくな。) 嘘をつくな。 (Don't tell a lie.) usotsuki うそつき 嘘つき (a liar) Usodaro! うそだろ! 嘘だろ! (That can be true!)
