Here's the most common Japanese word for family:

kazoku
かぞく
家族

Meaning:

a family

Pronunciation:

Say "kah-zoh-koo" aloud several times. Each vowel should be equally articulated. Then, try to make all the vowels short. The last "u" sound is so short that the "ku" sound becomes almost like "k." Be careful not to overemphasize a certain syllable.
